200 g chicken
1.5 l chicken broth
2 potatoes
1 onion
1 red pepper
1 green bell pepper
2 carrots
vermicelli
celery
lovage
salt, pepper
parsley
lemon

Chicken soup

Chicken soup is a traditional Bulgarian soup, very tasty and healthy. Its healing properties have been many - cure for colds and inflammatory processes in the body, it helps to lower blood pressure, acts favorably against a hangover.

Prepare it with pleasure and be healthy.

Put the whole chicken in a large saucepan of salted water. By this way will get stronger and more aromatic broth. Boil about 30 minutes and remove the foam.

Strain the broth. Unbone the chicken and set apart about 200 g for the soup. You can cook some other meal with the remaining meat.

Cut all vegetables into small cubes.

In the broth, put to boil the carrots and onions first, then add the potatoes and peppers. After 10-15 minutes add the chopped chicken and noodles.

Boil until potatoes are cooked.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste, little finely chopped celery and lovage. By removing from heat, sprinkle with parsley. Serve with a slice of lemon.

Optionally you can sophisticate the soup with egg and yogurt. Just add some of the hot soup to align temperatures and not to cross the egg.

Gradually add the mixture back to the soup.
